Morphology

Large-sized (5-7 mm), it is distinguished by its orange color. Each elytron is punctuated with 8 light-colored spots and the eyes are partly hidden by the pronotum but can be seen through transparent cover.

Diet

It is a fungi-consuming species but which is able to feed on aphids.

Habitat

This ladybird is an arboreal species which prefers broadleaves: oak, sycamore, dogwood, birch, lime.
